1. Introduction

APESONUS is a music app for crypto culture, installable on phone or desktop. The whole thing is built on receipts, so this is the document we write plainly: what the app collects, what we do with it, and how it is protected.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: We collect the email address you sign up with and a one-time password sent to that email to verify the account. We do not collect or store a permanent password, social account, or wallet for sign-in. Optionally, you can set a display handle that shows on the leaderboard.

Usage Data: We collect listening history, track preferences, mood selections (yes, including how often you pick REKT), and play counts, and we track the Embers you earn from paid plays. This powers your profile, the chart, and your share of anything ever distributed by Embers.

Contest Activity: When you enter The Call, we record the Spins you paid, the five tracks you called and the order you called them in, so the session can be graded and paid. Results appear under an anonymous handle taken from your account, never your email.

Payment Data: When you buy Spins, we create an order that records the price in dollars, the exact token amount owed, a unique reference and the time. Once the payment confirms on-chain we store the transaction signature, the amount that actually landed, the Spins granted and the Solana address the payment came from, so the two can be reconciled. We never see or store your seed phrase, private key or any other custodial material, and using the app does not require connecting a wallet. Solana transactions are public by design, so anyone can look up a signature on a block explorer.

Payout Data: If you win a prize and ask to withdraw it, we store the Solana wallet address you give us, the amount, and the signature of the transaction that pays it out. We keep those so the payment can be traced and reconciled, and so you can check for yourself that it landed. We never ask for and never hold a private key.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the APESONUS service, including personalised mood recommendations

• Track listening stats, mood breakdown, Spins balance, and Embers earned for your profile

• Operate the Spins economy: granting daily free plays, processing Spins purchases, and crediting Embers for paid plays

• Process and reconcile token payments on Solana, matching incoming on-chain transactions to your orders

• Operate the daily chart and The Call

• Analyse aggregate usage patterns to improve the service

• Communicate important service updates to the email on your account

4. Third-Party Services

APESONUS uses standard third-party infrastructure providers to operate the service, including for hosting, content delivery, authentication, database storage, rate limiting and security, and on-chain payment processing on the Solana network. These providers process data only on our behalf and under their own privacy policies. We do not sell user data to anyone, and we do not run third-party advertising or tracking inside the app.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for fraud prevention or legal compliance. Note that Solana transactions associated with any past Spins purchase remain visible on-chain and outside our control.

7. Music and AI Tools

The music on APESONUS is written and produced by us, with AI tools used inside that process. The characters are voices we write for; they are not the authors. More on how it all works is set out in our Terms of Service.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database access, signed time-limited media URLs, and edge-level rate limiting and bot protection. No method of transmission is 100% secure.

9. Age Requirement

APESONUS is for adults aged 18 and over. Degeneracy syndrome is an adult condition. The service is not designed or intended for minors, and we do not knowingly collect information from users under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us using the details below and we will close the account and delete the associated data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
